Development Editing

Often referred to as content editing, developmental editing takes into account the entire project. I think of it in terms of editing "the big picture" of a project.  

Developmental editing primarily examines theme, writing style, and pace of the content. Does the content convey the creator's message? Has the creator made his point/what is they're trying to say?   Is the overall message a viable, marketable one?

I'll help you organize your thoughts and take a closer look at the content to determine if the overall message is clear and concise.

Creative Consulting

The most effective collaborations begin with a series of discussions to gauge the needs of the creative.  I'll take the time to learn what the plans and goals are for the project as well as explain what to expect from the creative process.

I work with clients to find the heart of their project by discussing what works and what needs to be developed and how to frame and organize content. In other words, what to leave in and what to leave out.
